Continuing Education Accreditation

   The School of Medicine, State University of New York at Stony Brook, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

   The School of Medicine, State University of New York at Stony Brook, designates this educational activity for up to 18 or 24 hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The seminars have been reviewed and are acceptable for 18 or 24 prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Legal

The legal-medical program has been approved for 18-24 hours of continuing legal education credits by the appropriate accrediting bodies in the states of Florida, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Minnesota. Application may be made in other jurisdictions upon request.

Dental

The programs are accepted by the Academy of General Dentistry for 18-24 credit hours of continuing dental education.

Nursing

International Conferences has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as a provider of continuing education courses under Provider Number 06057. As such, these programs are approved for 18-24 contact hours.
